Window replacement
Customer Challenge: Adding windows where there were none.
Solution: Mr. & Mrs. Fogleman live in a historic aged home in Manassas, VA. They wanted to replace their windows using a solution that held to the character of the home but provided greater energy efficiency. One goal in this project was to make sure that the new replacement windows looked as though they were original to the home. The second goal was to add two new windows to the house where none existed bringing in more natural light.
We used our Architect Series Simulated Divided Light double hung windows to match the look and style of their original windows. We then had to cut two openings in the walls for the new windows. This required cutting through the siding and plaster walls of his home and installing new headers. Once the openings were prepared we installed his new windows, interior molding and added brickmolding to the exterior.
The end result was new energy efficient windows that match the age and character of his home and fresh natural light for the living room and master bedroom.
