Commercial Sales Representative |
|
You will sell the finest quality window and door products and services to commercial, residential and industrial customers. You will develop organizational skills to structure your own work environment, territory, records, training and incentives. Build successful relationships and have the opportunity to grow personally and professionally while contributing to the success of our team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Call on homeowners, contractors, and/or other customers.
- Generate leads – prospect – Compiling lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Follow up on your leads, as well as those generated by the sales branch offices.
- Negotiate and sell products and services.
- Quoting prices, date of delivery, and credit terms, and preparing sales order.
- Obtain new customers.
- Handle all organization, detail, and records for your customer base.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with builders, contractors, architects and trade organizations.
- Provide follow up and excellent customer service to prospective and current customers.
- Create shop drawings, providing technical expertise in relation to structural issues (i.e. wind loading concerns, field measurements, and structural mulling requirements), performing value engineering tasks, maintaining current knowledge of Pella products, competitive information, and processes, increasing Pella specs, providing bids using PDQ.
- Commercial Reps should provide selling tools, coordinate with other sales reps, orchestrate cross segment contracts, be a member of various trade organizations, visit college architectural programs and give presentations on Pella when applicable.
- Investigating and resolving customer problems.

Location: Beltsville, Maryland Assists with projects and activities for marketing products or services by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned in order to meet the business needs of the Organization. General Marketing - Stays abreast of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly as approved by management.
- Participates in customer surveys to obtain marketing information about company products and services.
- Assists in implementing public relations programs and coordinates involvement with community events.
- Works with media vendors and agency to accomplish strategy.
- Monitors, maintains and tracks marketing budget through CRM.
- Responsible for placing, confirming and monitoring media orders.
- Coordinates, schedules and manages advertising schedules, and general advertising deadlines.
- Uses reporting to determine target area for direct mail.
- Coordinates trade/home show events.
- Assists with subject matter and research on internal and external blogs and newsletters.
- Gathers content for email marketing for all market segments.
- Assists in maintaining a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional material, and events.
- Manages Co-op funds.
Database - Produces regularly scheduled reports from database
- Keeps database clean and makes data changes when necessary

Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties: - Participation in pre-quote review of all job opportunities with the Sales Representative
- Take-off plans and review all job specifications and scope of work in detail
- Verify and reconcile all take-off discrepancies with Sales Representative
- Process all documentation of take-off, within Company policy, through CQ
- Preparation of detailed bid proposals to Sales Representative
- Perform Value Engineering when required.
- Prepare re-quotes as required
- Interface with Sales Logix data base management system
- Locate bidding opportunities through Construction Data base software
- Other duties as specified by Commercial/SFN Sales Manager
