Wardman Park Hotel - Marriot of Washington DC

Year Completed: 1998
Location: Washington, D.C.
Architect/Contractor: ACG Construction

Located in the noisy city of Washington DC is the Wardman Park Hotel. But the racket of the city is no longer a problem for this building.

The architect chose residentially scaled Pella Designer Series casement windows with between-the-glass blinds to complement the roof, brick and impressive mass building to create a compatible feeling with the surrounding area.

They were also chosen because of the reputation of the product. They are weather tight, they greatly reduce noise, and they are unique. ACG Construction wanted an aluminum window with wood clad, which is exactly what Pella offered.

“The process of renovation went fairly smoothly” stated KC Company’s project manager Mike Bonanno. “The only real problem we had was getting everyone in their position and begin working on their projects.” In comparison to other projects, it seemed as though this large and complex renovation went extraordinarily smoothly!

The windows exceeded expectations in the stringent water test which proved Pella’s incomparable quality and attention to detail. The hotel has also received several comments from guests how the windows add warmth and comfort to the rooms.

"They asked us to create a 'look of the future.' KC Company helped us accomplish that goal … beautifully."

It was rather disturbing to wake up to the news of yet another increase in gas prices…now up to almost $4 a gallon!  Thankfully our company participates in telecommuting.
